Create an Avalanche
Create an Avalanche
How do you create an avalanche? Find as many believers as you can, who will agree to pray and believe with you for the same thing you are seeking God for. Matthew 18:18-19 says that, “whatsoever ye bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Again I say unto you, That if two of you, (believers) shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” If one can put a thousand to flight and two ten thousand, (Deuteronomy 32:30) imagine what would happen if you create an avalanche of like minded believers who would agree and pray with you for the same thing. Now, lets take this strategy a step further and imagine how powerful your prayers would be if all of you were praying the same scripture, based on the same promise, at the same times every day, versus everyone praying whatever they felt like praying about it, whenever they felt “led” to pray about it. If you really want to get radical about it, ask all of those praying with you to set aside a specific day that you will fast and pray, bombarding heaven with the same prayer at the same scheduled times on the day you are all fasting for an answer. What happens when believers and even unbelievers are willing to humble themselves and do this? In the times of Esther, the Jewish people were delivered from destruction. When the King and all of the people of Nineveh agreed to fast and pray seeking God’s forgiveness, their lives and their city were spared. When Daniel and his friends agreed to pray to God so that God would tell Daniel the Kings dream, God answered. Therefore, the lives of Daniel, his friends, and all of the other counselors of Nebuchadnezzar’s were spared. In the book of Acts, chapters one and two tell us that the believers were all in one accord in prayer and supplication when the Holy Spirit came to earth. In Acts 12 when Peter was thrown into Jail by Herod, the believers prayed without ceasing for his deliverance and the Lord sent an angel and delivered him. These are just a few examples of what happens when believers band together and pray! Jesus tells us in Luke 18:1 that we should always pray and never give up!
Things you can do to help everyone stay on the same page:
Use social networking to create a body of believers who will agree to pray with you.
Have silicone bands made with the scripture and times everyone will be praying on a daily basis.
Set your phone alarm to go off as a reminder at the designated times you’ve all agreed to pray. Set up reminders on your cell phone calendar that will remind you of the times and scripture you will be praying.
Carry a photo of the person you are praying for and the write the scripture you are agreeing on, on the photo. Write down the scheduled times you will be doing this on the photo. Put it down in your daily planner!.
Have an accountability partner who will agree to pray with you at the set times daily, via phone calls, in person, Skype or however you need to do it in order to follow through.
